Games Like Meowdoku: 7 Logic Puzzle Apps to Try
Meowdoku’s rules are simple: one cat in each colored region, never two in a row or column, and never touching. Plenty of other games use the same rules or a close variant. Here are seven worth trying. We make Paw Plots, so it’s listed first, and we’ve stuck to what each game’s own listing says.

Harder variants
6. Star Battle Puzzles: bigger boards, no ads
From Egghead Games, this is Star Battle, the classic puzzle behind these rules. Its 1-star grids play like Meowdoku, and it goes up to 3 stars per region on 14×14 boards. Its listing says no ads and includes 50 free plays, then sells more plays or a subscription. It’s rated 4.8 from 128 ratings on the US App Store and 4.6 from 122 on Google Play.
7. Star Battle Go: two stars per region
Every row, column and region needs two stars, so it’s a step up from Meowdoku. Its listing offers 150 free puzzles by KrazyDad, the puzzle maker behind Two Not Touch, with 3,000 more to buy. It’s rated 4.7 from 168 ratings on the US App Store.
How Meowdoku compares
Meowdoku! from Oakever Games is the big name here: rated 4.8 from about 394,000 ratings on the US App Store and 4.7 from about 581,000 on Google Play, with 10M+ downloads there. Its listings mention daily puzzles, offline play and leaderboards, and show that it has ads. For more detail, see Paw Plots and Meowdoku side by side.
Details come from each game’s own store listing, as of November 1, 2026. Ratings are for the US stores and change often. “Where we confirmed it” lists what we could verify, so a game may also be available elsewhere. We didn’t test every game.
